After a week of project management, slight set backs, and multiple runs to Home Depot the kitchen is done.
New sink, subway tile back splash and blue glass tile accents.
New dishwasher which is stealthy silent. We ran our first load tonight and couldn't hear it.
Bob Villa never looked this good. New cabinets and butcher block counter top. Susannah has rearranged the kitchen and made it look good.

Portland Weekend
This past weekend we headed down to Portland for a weekend with the Watsons. We had a great time playing, eating, and berry picking at a local farm. Here are some picture of berry picking and Marc's best friend Milo (he just turned two at the beginning of May).
Milo getting ready to pick some berries
Me picking stawberries, I needed proof that I actually did bend over and pick them.
Marc sharing a strawberry with Milo
Susannah and Milo in the blueberries
Marc feeding Milo some blueberries
Milo pulling the wagon
Strawberries!!
Each family picked a whole flat of strawberries, I don't know what we were thinking we would do with all these berries!

New counter tops
So after demo day our new counter tops were to be installed. THe guys showed up at 7:45 and were done by 8 a.m. Yup it is just that easy. Tomorrow the plumber comes to install the dishwasher and hook up the sink. Then next Monday tiling of the back splash.
Integrated sink with no seam for stuff to get caught in.
Yes we realize this looks like our old counter top, but its not.

New Kitchen Demo
Our original counter top with stainless steal sink
Demo day all of the counter tops are gone.
Our new dish washer and its new home
With the new baby on the way we thought it was time to get a new dishwasher. We couldn't stop there we had to go big and get a new Corian counter top as well. We liked the integrated sink where there is no lip on the sink so we can wipe stuff off directly from the counter into the sink, oh when I say we I mean Susannah.

3rd trimester baby bump
I am now in the 3rd trimester and can't believe how quickly it is going by. The new favorite past time is watching my stomach jump and move. Again, not loving how it looks in pictures. I feel like I look cuter in person :)
Stay tuned for less posed pictures in a week or so because we are heading to Portland next weekend for a fun visit with the Watson family. I am sure there will be lots of pictures of the belly berry picking, hanging out with Milo, and touring around Portland, as you really can't miss it anymore.

Work Baby Shower
This past week the staff at my school threw a baby shower for a co-worker and me. It was so much fun and we both got so many gifts, it was amazing. The group gift was an ergo carrier and the infant insert. So many other people brought their own gift as well. When I got home Marc had to come out the car and carry in gifts, he was amazed. I proceeded to show Marc all the gifts while he sat in the glider rocker drinking a beer. Here is a picture of the haul all piled up in front of the crib.
