Once again Sooz is keeping up her garden. Here are just some of the flowers in the yard. Bee Balm, hydrangea, lavender and blue oak grass.

Sooz's veggie tales

Susannah has been out in the yard working hard this summer. She planted tomatoes and basil, our favorites for salads later this summer. She also is trying out zucchini plants, leeks and carrots. Here is how they are growing.

Extream Furniture Makeover

These last few weekend have been great with great weather and of course things for me to do. Recently we have purchased large pieces of furniture and have refinished them. Susannah's folks purchased a Secretary Desk and I re did that earlier this month. Last week at the West Seattle fair with Aarin, Jeremy, and Audrey we found a cedar chest and I redid it yesterday and today. Here are pictures of both.

Beer Butt Chicken

For those of you who don't know my mom (marc) gave us this contraption one trip up here. I looked at it like what is this???? They explained that you put a beer can in the middle, place chicken over it and BBQ for an hour. We did just that tonight here in Seattle where it reached a high of 90. Here you go Wats, beer butt chicken.

Well today I (Marc) got a frantic call around 3pm, I couldn't understand a thing that was said. All I could decipher from Sooz was truck sob sob sob sniff sniff sniff fence sob sob sob sniff sniff sniff craaaaaa. I said I was on my way home and not to worry. I think the pictures tell the story.

Susannah's Garden

Since Marc has been showing his projects I thought I would show one of mine. These are some pictures of the front yard and one of the vegetable beds out back. It has been fun this year to add more plants and move around the ones I already have. The yard is starting to look really good this spring as some of the plants are getting huge. We are getting LOTS of rain so I haven't had to water yet. I just hope we get some sun so my vegetables will grow!

And the Winner is.....

This morning we went to Home Depot and picked out paint for our basement floor. The color we went with is called Brazilian Marble. Basically a gray blue in laymens terms. I also want you to notice that I left a path back to the door, I know someone (Porter,Watson,Tim) will come up with the remark "Did Marc paint himself into the corner like he always does?"
