This last weekend we went to Portland and visited my college buddy Andrew, his wife Chrysia, and baby Milo. We took the train down Friday night after work. The next day went with Andrew and Milo to swim class and then to 23rd street for lunch. The weather was wonderful at 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. After lunch we walked down to the Pearl District and visited Powell's books which is a bookstore that is four stories high and takes up an entire city block. Ellie I think I saw Jeff in there paying tribute to floor #4. After the book store we walked to Jefferson fountain where kids were playing and wading in the water and among the waterfalls. We took the trolley train back to the car and called it a day.
Sunday was more fun we went to Voodoo Doughnuts where they make CRAZY doughnuts topped with Fruitloops, Oreos, and Bacon! Yes I said BACON!! They make a maple bar topped with strips of bacon, but gave out the last one to the person right in front of us. We then went to Sunday Market and the Chinese Gardens before leaving Portland. We had a blast and will be back again.
Just me enjoying the sun.

I just saw Voodoo doughnuts highlighted on the Foodnetwork. Did you try a bacon doughnut? Did you know they perform weddings there?
